So, I was definitely disappointed overall, but some aspects were okay.Depth and width of information. 1 star - this is really just an extremely short summary of mythology. Think of it as a clift notes that will help you pass middle school level tests. If you read the 5 star ratings you get the impression that this contains deeper and wider information. If you want an overview, then this is for you.Writing style is good. 4 starsBook quality is solid. 3 stars.
I enjoyed reading this book. It is a very nice overview of the major mythologies of history. It explains some things that I did not know and it made me realize how many themes some mythologies have in common even though they were from different regions.

It is very interesting to see things that is brought to light
This work is great if you only have a passing interest in mythology. If you are looking for something more exhaustive or in-depth this is not for you. While this work does give a brief summary of a few of the more popular and relatively well known myths it covers few if any others. In the greek section for instance the author writes about Herakles (though only the last of his labors), Perseus, and Jason but does not mention Hyacinthus, Orpheus, or even Theseus at all. This is not a purchase for anyone with a serious interest.
Kindle Unlimited, have read all these before but as usual when a collection is put together always seems to be a bit extra here and there, and besides, Elves, Dwarves, Trolls and Valkyries plus God, Goddesses, Heroes and Monsters from many cultures, and as usual {for me} Celtic is always interesting.
